The $500 Man Bites God Music Video Competition
Man Bites God are bribing aspiring film makers with a chance to win AU$500 by making a music video featuring a Man Bites God song of their choice.

“A number of fans have made their own music videos for the band over the last few years and we wanted to recognise their efforts with a competition”, explains the band’s drummer and professional video director Chris Tomkins. “We’re not expecting anything amazingly polished for the $500 prize, we just want to see what great ideas are out there.”

The competition runs until November and is a simple as choosing a Man Bites God song, making a video and uploading to Man Bites God’s YouTube channel in order to be judged in November.

The band are looking for anything from surreal to literal, live-action, machinema, animation or some other technique that hasn’t been invented yet.

Details of the competition are available on the band's website http://www.manbitesgod.com or by watching the video on their youtube channel http://www.youtube.com/manbitesgod.

Man Bites God are UNSOUND in Adelaide
Man Bites God return to the Adelaide Fringe with their sellout hit from the 2005 Melbourne International Comedy Festival, "Unsound". The show contains songs and stories about insanity and why it is becoming an acceptable lifestyle choice in this day and age.

Written by Man Bites God during their 2004 UK tour "Unsound" deals with subjects like smashing butterflies to death with a hammer, building a girlfriend out of wood, ninjas and hemophilia. The show also contains some of the most hilariously disturbing and warped love songs of all time. "Unsound" sold-out every one of its performances during the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. It seems insanity is contagious. Now it's Adelaide's turn. Man Bites God perform "Unsound" for four nights only at the Belgian Beer Cafe from March 15 to 18 at 10.30pm. Get in early.

Venue: Belgian Beer Cafe, 27-29 Ebenezer Pl.

After sell-out UK performances, Man Bites God return to sing you new songs about insanity, and why everybody's doing it.

Gleefully abandoning all reason, coherence and rationality, Man Bites God have created several new surreal, strange, offensive and very funny rock songs and combined them with some decidedly weird and wonderful banter to create a brand new show for the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Sometimes letting go of reality is the only way to go, and sanity is a sacrifice Man Bites God is willing to make.

Clearly the insanity Man Bites God experienced in the UK didn't adversely affect their shows, as the lads wowed the international press.

After sell-out UK performances, Man Bites God return to sing you new songs about insanity, and why everybody's doing it.

Satirical rock band Man Bites God's new show is called "Unsound" - a state of mind the Melbourne lads know a lot about. In August 2004 Man Bites God spent a month touring the UK, including playing 23 shows in 23 days as part of the prestigious Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The constant playing, promotion and drinking, coupled with living on top of one another in cold, cramped accommodation and surviving on tinned soup and stale rolls led to a shared psychosis and loss of reality within the band. The songs written on that tour are the songs played in "Unsound".
